CRESCENT WILL GO GREEN FOR ST. PATRICK’S FESTIVAL!
The Crescent Shopping Centre will be a key sponsor for the upcoming Limerick St. Patrick’s Festival and will host a variety of fun events on March 17 itself.
On St. Patrick’s Day, the centre will come alive with Irish dancing, live music, face painting and more. Customers are encouraged to dress up in green and other St. Patrick’s Day gear and the best themed outfit or costume will be rewarded with a €50 shopping voucher.
Theresa Roseingrave, Marketing Manager at the Crescent Shopping Centre, said: “We are delighted to come on board as a sponsor for the Limerick St. Patrick’s Festival, running from March 14-17. It’s a huge highlight on the local calendar. The Crescent Shopping Centre has been a fixture in Limerick for 41 years and supporting local events in city and county is very much part of our tradition.”
“After the spectacular parade on St. Patrick’s Day, we hope people can join us here in the centre for even more lively entertainment in celebration of our patron saint,” she added.
This year, the parade’s Grand Marshals will be internationally acclaimed Irish aerial dance theatre company, Fidget Feet. Well-known for their vibrant displays during City of Culture 2014, the company will add to the highly anticipated colour and carnival atmosphere.
Up to 70,000 spectators are expected to line the streets for Ireland’s largest regional parade, starting from noon.
